President and Lead Researcher

 

Loretta Shaw is President of LMRS Information Services.

She received M.S. degrees in Aerospace Engineering, Business Administration and Library and Information Science. While it’s not necessary to have an aerospace engineer conduct your high tech research, it is certainly helpful to have someone on your side who understands the technology, terminology and industry.

Research Training

Loretta conducts in-house training and offsite training for any company interested in having their research team be better organized and able to tackle the challenges of using the internet for research.

Loretta created and delivered two training programs, recently, focused on searching the internet for R&D information with over 130 researchers attending. She can create a customized training programs about using the internet for research for you and your employees.

She brings to the table experiences that include:

30 years at NASA Glenn Research Center

Among other positions at Glenn, she was the Compressor Branch Chief, technical assistant to the Space Transportation Project Office and SBIR manager.

At NASA she gained experience as a researcher, project manager, technical manager, grant manager, recruiter and public speaker.

Her recent research activities include writing case studies on developing markets, reports on 3D printing applications, global sourcing with innovative approaches to manufacturing product comparisons, company analysis, competitor analysis, films for high tech applications, high energy physics applications to medical devices, and product advertising in various markets.

A bit personal

Loretta and her husband enjoy gardening, reading and most of all grandparenting.  They also enjoy watching Cleveland Guardians baseball games and Ohio State Football games.  Loretta does volunteer work at her community Hunger Center.

Lead Aerospace Consultant

Dr. Robert (Joe) Shaw is a member of LMRS Information Services LLC.

He received his Bachelors, MSAAE, and PhD in Aeronautical and Astronautical Engineering from The Ohio State University (OSU).

He had a 45 -1/2 year career with the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) working at Lewis/Glenn Research Center in Cleveland, OH. He performed research in a number of areas (supersonic cruise propulsion, vertical take-off and landing propulsion, aircraft icing) and transitioned to a number of organizational and program management positions. He spent the last years of his career as the Director of Ventures and Partnerships, reporting to the Glenn Center Director. He retired in January 2016, as a member of the Federal Executive Service.
